Account & Session Security
- Mandatory Email Verification: Every new account must verify its email address before it can be used, so an unclaimed or mistyped signup can never gain access to real data.
- Encrypted Connections Everywhere: Finuary enforces HTTPS on every request, with HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) so your browser refuses to fall back to an unencrypted connection. Cookies are marked secure and are only ever sent over HTTPS.
- Automatic Session Timeout: Web sessions expire automatically after a period of inactivity, reducing the window an unattended, signed-in browser could be misused.
- Sign In With Google: Prefer not to manage another password? Sign in with your existing Google account instead.
